Gard has been involved with the Peachtree City Lazers Soccer Club since 1996. His involvement has been as a recreational coach, a Lazers Select coach, a team manager, referee and Dad (his favorite). Gard is also the club’s Tournament Director for select tournaments and part of the club’s Select Committee.

Gard holds a USSF "D" License and also has a USSF Level 8 Referee License.

Gard and his wife, Sara, have been married for 24 years. They have lived in Peachtree City for the last 12 of those years. Both of their daughters have played at Peachtree City Lazers Soccer Club. Erin now attends Georgia State University. Mary Elise plays for the Lazers ’94 Girls Select team and attends McIntosh High School.

Gard funds his full time soccer coaching passion by working for RPC, Inc., a service company for the oil and gas business, as a Vice President of ERP Applications.
